Benchmarking
TAF runs an annual benchmarking of the UK association sector to provide associations with the only comparable data about how to run their organisations.
This is the most comprehensive annual survey specifically designed for UK trade associations and enables participating associations and the sector at large to discover trends across, support planning and budgeting for the future and facilitate the sharing of best practice within the sector.
As in previous years, the 2024 Survey focuses primarily on providing a benchmark for association salaries and benefits and is consistent with historic surveys which will allow us to conduct trend analysis over time. 2024 Benchmarking Highlights
Our 2024 Benchmarking was our largest ever, covering comprehensive salary and benchmarking information from 139 UK-based trade associations.
Key highlights from 2024:
- The 2024 survey had 139 quality responses (an increase of 9% on 2023) from all sectors, sizes and locations, providing us with a unique picture of the UK trade association sector.
- The respondents collectively employ 2,869 people with a combined salary bill of £230m per annum.
