Who are the most inspirational women in trade associations?

TAF, CBI and FSB are joining forces to champion the role of Women in trade bodies, celebrate their achievements and encourage the next generation of women into the sector.

On International Women’s Day we will be launching the second Women in Trade Associations powerlist. Our list will celebrate the best, the most brilliant, and the most formidable female business and sector champions in the UK. 

Deadline to nominate: Friday 9th February 2024

2024 Criteria

For 2024, alongside recognising women who are directly employed by UK trade associations we also want to recognise the many others who contribute to their association via voluntary roles on Boards, leading groups or offering their expertise.

Anyone can nominate by filling in the online form and submitting a supporting statement which provides the nominee’s name, title and contact details and sets out how they have. Find out more below:

Women in Trade Associations

We are looking for inspirational women who work in associations, women who champion their sector, deliver tirelessly for their members, and support their colleagues. All women working for UK trade associations (defined as a UK membership organisation representing UK businesses) are eligible to be nominated. 

Nominees must:

  • Work for a UK trade association (defined as a UK membership organisation representing UK businesses) 
  • Have demonstrated excellent leadership in their association and their sector over the last 12 months
  • Be inspirational, influential and brilliant
  • Delivered meaningful impact for members and the sector over the last 12 months
  • Inspired, supported and encouraged others in their sector 

Supporting statements should be no longer than 500 words.

Outstanding Female Member Contributions

This year we are also keen to recognise the incredible contribution of the volunteer army that provides associations with industry insight, networks and leadership in our sectors. We are therefore also asking for nominations for members that have delivered an outstanding contribution to their association and real impact for the sector that they represent.

Nominees must:

  • Be a member volunteer in their association (i.e. not employed directly by the association)
  • Supported their association to deliver demonstrable impact to their association and their sector
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership in their association and their sector
  • Inspired, supported and encouraged other members to get involved 

Supporting statements should be no longer than 500 words
