Our current CEO will retire in 2020 and we seek the right individual to build on his considerable success in this wide-ranging and challenging role, with a likely start date within Q1 2020.
The position requires the ability to lead and motivate a small technical and out-sourced administration team, to lead the association’s relationship with appropriate Government Departments, Agencies and other bodies, as well as the various committees which BCGA hosts across a wide range of industry issues. The CEO is also company secretary.
The successful candidate will be a persuasive and effective networker, with good political, financial, technical and some legal awareness.
Direct gases industry experience is not essential, but a science or engineering focussed education, likely to degree level, will be helpful, as would be some awareness of Trade Association work.
The remuneration package will be positioned to attract the best candidate.
Home location will not be critical, but being based in the Midlands would be advantageous and the role will include travel within the UK and less frequently within Europe and beyond.
