techUK’s training programme delivers training courses to both members and non-members. These courses provide access to high quality specialised business training for the technology sector at preferential rates for members.

 

techUK’s software escrow business has built 30 years’ experience in delivering one of the UK’s most established services. The aim is to provide customers purchasing software with an added safeguard protecting them, should their supplier go out of business, at a highly competitive price.

 

The Business Services Team also leads the Professional Services Groups for Legal Affairs and Marketing and Sales.

 

Role Overview

The Business Services and Customer Relationship Manager (BSCRM) is responsible for leading the creation, targeting and successful delivery of our Business Services offerings resulting in successful achievement of the revenue targets relating to income and profit.

 

The BSCRM is responsible for the positioning, sales and marketing, customer relationship (new and existing), promotions, establishing future areas of growth and delivering increasing profitability for both techUK’s training programme and software escrow business.

 

We require a sales and marketing focussed individual who can demonstrate an understanding of how to create and deliver added value services that support our members and non-member customer business activities through demonstrating value creation and ROI. This is a customer facing role and the candidate will be required to develop client/ member relationships and win new business as a key priority. The successful candidate is likely to have sales/ account management experience as well as an understanding of membership organisations and business services offerings.

 

The position requires the individual to work effectively, through a range of partners and suppliers, to market and sell our services; securing annual gross and net revenue targets through the delivery of a programme of training courses, whilst simultaneously performing a marketing and sales role for the software escrow service. Both services are revenue generating and seek to maximise and grow profitability each year.

 

These techUK services are a mixture of value-added member services and revenue and profit-generating services.

 

In addition, the incumbent is responsible for delivering the sales and marketing plan relating to the delivery of services and outputs from the marketing & sales and legal affairs groups.

 

The person appointed will show capability and potential to build on our business services, an ability to sell these services to members and other partners, an ability to negotiate with service providers and manage the contractual relationships between techUK, its partners and customers.

 

This role requires someone who has the communication skills, confidence and drive to grow their own profile and that of techUK. This is a hands-on role, with a small supporting team and you will be expected to create, manage and close your own revenue opportunities as a key part of the role.

 

The role is target driven, working towards monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal targets for Gross and Net revenue along with the management of costs. The role works alongside a Business Services Manager and a Business Services Assistant who are responsible for the operational delivery of our Business Services. The BSCRM will be work closely and support the required tasks and responsibilities across the team to ensure the delivery of the best quality programme of services and financial results with the available resource.

This is a full-time role based at techUK’s central London office.

 

The position reports to directly to the Head of Business Development with a dotted line into the Director - Marketing and Membership.
