The Horticultural Trades Association is looking to appoint a Chairman to lead the Association through its continual development. As one of the largest membership organisations we lobby and campaign on behalf of our members within the horticulture industry, providing a whole range of products and services including, learning and development, market information, events, conferences and seminars.
We have 1500 members which consist of garden retailers, growers, landscapers and suppliers and manufacturers within the garden industry. Our garden gifting scheme is the UK's longest running garden consumer promotion which drives around 2 million visits into garden centres each year.
The Chair will act as a conduit between the Non-Executive Directors of the HTA Board and the Senior Leadership Team. The Chair will represent the HTA at a senior level to promote the interests of the Garden Industry and is the ideal opportunity for someone with experience operating at this level, experience within the horticulture sector or within a Trade Association would be advantageous.
To be successful you will be commercially adept with a good awareness of the political landscape. You will be a strategic thinker and experienced at board level with the ability to positively influence others. This will be combined with excellent leadership qualities, communication and organisational skills.
