Marketing and Events Executive - British Promotional Merchandise Association, Cambridge

REPORTING TO:                     Director General


PURPOSE OF JOB:                  Implement the communications and event strategy of the BPMA





Ensure the BPMA event budget is met and main goals delivered


Success will be measured by:

1.    The delivery of the KPIs on events and marketing comms

2.    Increase the media coverage of the BPMA

3.    Success of the BPMA Initiatives 


Main day to day duties

1.    Prepare and execute the marketing comms plan

2.    Manage website content with support of Board director

3.    Co-ordinate content and adverts for Product Media magazine

4.    Manage Product Media magazine subscription list

5.    Manage BPMA data lists

6.    Write relevant press releases and communicate to press contacts

7.    Create member feedback and end-research surveys need for events

8.    Manage member blogs and content curation

9.    Create all marketing collateral for relevant membership activities and benefits

10. Organise and execute the BPMA Christmas lunch

11. Organise and execute the BPMA Annual awards dinner

12.  Manage the relationships with end-user exhibition organisers such as MWL and B2B marketing shows

13.  Plan and manage all BPMA exhibition stands at trade events

14.  Process members UKTI applications for PSI trade exhibition

15.  Create and maintain a 12month event calendar

16.  Co-ordinate PPW and end user task force

17.  Assist with the student design competition

18.  Represent BPMA at various industry events and exhibitions




09:00 – 17:30 (Monday-Friday) office based.  Exhibitions and events will require additional time outside normal working hours.

Proficient in using a computer (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Good attention to detail
