Induction Training for New Starters and Returners - The Society of Association and Membership Professionals

The Society of Associations and Membership Professionals (SAMP) is pleased to announce the launch of a unique one-day training course that will enable staff at your organisation to ‘hit the ground running’.

It can be difficult for new staff to quickly see the ‘whole picture’ while learning the requirements of their particular role. So, the course aligns with your internal induction and is uniquely designed to benefit new starters, staff who have completed their probation period or have been in post for about a year, as well as those returning from career breaks. It will equip them with:

- The skills/knowledge required to grow in confidence more quickly

Richard Gott: Richard has over 15 years’ experience management and leadership experience in the membership organisation and association sector. He has worked for a range of high profile organisations including the Royal College of General Practitioners, College of Optometrists, British Dental Association, Law Society and Royal College of Psychiatrists. Richard chairs the MemberWise Network, CPD Standards Office Expert Advisory Board, and provides training and consulting services to the membership and association sector.

Susie Kay: Susie Kay has more than 20 years’ management and leadership experience in professional associations and membership organisations including CILIP, APM, IPMA, BCS, and is now MD of The Professionalism Group, a consultancy specialising in non-profit governance, professionalism and personal effectiveness. She is a MemberWise Ambassador and member of the Expert Board of the CPD Standards Office. She is the author of three books, is a mentor and a busy speaker on governance and personal and professional development issues.
